Strategies for the Wellness Management of the Injured Worker

The session will focus on a wellness-based approach to the management of an injured worker.  The contents are from the Worksite Wellness Model Beyond Prevention, which was part of a presentation by William at the National Safety Conference in San Diego in October 2002.  This approach will discuss the concepts of secondary and tertiary prevention in the management of the injured worker where the focus is on wellness vs. disability and maintenance of work status.  Experiences from this approach with west Michigan businesses will be discussed as part of the presentation.  Time will be allotted for discussion.
